He was the high school’s dead beat
All the kids called him the town freak
Had a face full of scars from his Daddy
Had a heart full of rage and envy
He’ll burn down their world of fantasy
Turn their perfect lives to misery
Won’t stop until he makes them bleed
How ‘bout the prom king and queen? Yeah!
They strayed far from lover’s lane
Now it’s tears, blood and shallow graves
Yeah, not much of them remains
A lock of hair and a promise ring, so...
God rest the youth
Because a killer’s on the loose
And he’s gonna see it through
So God rest the youth
Well his hunger grows in threes
It feeds his Christ mockery
All bodies missing teeth
The bread of life, they can’t eat, yeah!
Three found floating in the creek
Another three left hanging in a hickory
Much too close to Main Street
So they know they better not sleep, yeah!
God rest the youth
Because a killer’s on the loose
And he’s gonna see it through
So God rest the youth
God rest the youth
Because a killer’s on the loose
And he’s gonna speak his truth
So God rest the youth!
You can’t tame the beast
Who’s ready for his feast
He’s got his eye on something sweet
Like the daughter of the Police Chief
A delicious treat, carved up like a turkey
They’ll search the woods for weeks and weeks and weeks...

A criminally underrated album of a criminally underrated and underexposed genre. The production values here are so authentically 1980s. A good balance of traditional hard rock, synths, and strong melodies, with a spooky yet nostalgic feel, with the songs carefully curated for a strong experience start to finish. For those lonely nights, stuck in your bedroom, reminiscing days gone by: listen to this. cosmopolis
A deep synthwave trip into a blighted neon dystopia where androids and doomsday cults wreak havoc. Flashy, imaginative work from James Kent. Bandcamp New & Notable May 5, 2016
The great Cat Temper does it again! 10 more synthpop bangers with titles like “Growls on Film” and “Electric Pawpurrella.” Instant classic. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 11, 2023

This album catches you from the opening of the 1st track. IMHO, I prefer instrumental synthwave overall, & Magic Dance has released instrumentals!! The vocals here are smooth however. I know The Midnight is one of the biggest/most popular synthwave acts, but I DON'T care for the singer altho he's good. But to me you sound bitter. Also, LOVE the beautiful album covers!! 💯😎🌴🌞❤🎹⭐🎛🪐 Shane Dangers
